We promote Consumers to dispute mistakes on your own Credit Report at no cost under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). If you are unable or don’t have the time to get corrected, we may be of assistance. *Under the FCRA you have the right to dispute information on your Credit Report at no cost. But, this often will not fix the error and may even cement the incorrect data on your Credit Report or the Credit Bureaus may feel you are trying to do blanket credit repair and will then deny any future disputes as frivolous.
We can review your Credit Report for errors and omissions (I.E. missing credit limits, wrong account types, etc). Our main goal is to help you get the most out of your personal Credit Report and Credit Score. Beyond errors, we want to provide suggestions as to how to further improve your Credit Score short term and long term. For example: opening a new credit card, how much time is needed to offset a late payment or collection account, or paydown revolving accounts by a specific amount for immediate needed Score improvement). It all depends on your current specific seven-year credit history.
*How do you maximize your Credit Score given your current seven-year credit history?
A. Generally it is best to ensure all is correct on your Credit Report. Review and monitor your Credit Report regularly for errors, ID theft, etc. We highly suggest a credit bureau monitoring service, which at least notifies you of changes. Minimum you should get one of your three free credit reports via annualcreditreport.com, and if you see anything unusual consider accessing all three free credit reports.
B. Refer to the Credit Score reasons to determine why your score was not higher. Run an analysis to determine score improvement suggestions, and specific what if scenarios.
